Your Annual 8 Hours, Done Right
California requires every registered security guard to complete 8 hours of continuing training each year. One day with us keeps your file clean, your skills sharp, and your employer happy.
What the law requires
Under BSIS rules (Business and Professions Code 7583.6 and CCR Section 643), every registered guard must complete 8 hours of continuing training annually, including at least 2 hours reviewing the appropriate use of force. You keep your certificate for the life of your registration, and your employer must keep a copy on file for as long as you work for them. When an employer, client, or auditor asks for your training record, this is the paper they want to see.
What your day covers
A full refresher of Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force taught live by a state certified instructor, plus current updates to California law that affect how you work your post. It is interactive, practical, and built for working guards: real scenarios, straight answers, and a certificate in your hand the same day.
Who should book
Any registered California security guard whose last training date is coming up on a year old, guards returning to the industry who want their file current before applying, and anyone whose employer has asked for proof of annual training. If you earned your guard card with us, this is the course that keeps it working for you.
Leave with: your 8-hour continuing training certificate (including the use of force review hours), a copy for your employer, and a reminder from us when next year’s hours come due.
Book Your Refresher Day ($50 deposit)
Refresher students book into our scheduled 8-hour training day. Choose the refresher option on the booking form and your certificate is issued for annual continuing education. Balance due at check in.

Prefer a Private Session? This course is also available as a private one-on-one or small-group session for students who want more flexibility, a quieter learning environment, or more personalized instruction. Private scheduling is subject to instructor and range availability.
Cancellation Policy
Life happens, and we understand! If you need to cancel or reschedule, just let us know at least 48 hours before your class, and we’ll be happy to offer you full credit toward a future class. Please note that the credit must be used within 60 days and can’t be transferred. Thank you for your understanding!
