This policy applies to in person courses offered by Yador Enterprises, Inc. dba Focal Point Academy (“Focal Point Academy,” “we,” “us”), 1717 E. Vista Way, Suite 201, Vista, CA 92084.
We know plans change. Here is how it works, in plain terms.
All of our in person courses are booked through our Calendly booking page. When you book, you pay the full course price online. Nothing more is owed to us on class day, apart from any range fee paid directly to the range. Payments made online are processed by Stripe.
Call or text (760) 670-9272 with your full name, the course name and your scheduled course date. You can also email courses@bsistraining.com or use the link in your Calendly confirmation email.
If you cancel 48 hours or more before your course date, your payment is refunded, less a 10% cancellation fee that covers card processing and the seat held for you.
If you cancel less than 48 hours before your course date, your payment is not refunded. You may still rebook. We provide one rebook, at no fee, and it must be used within 30 days of your original course date.
A no show means you do not attend your scheduled course and did not cancel beforehand. Arriving more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time also counts as a no show.
No shows forfeit the course payment. You still get the same one free rebook, which must be used within 30 days of your original course date.
Our online California CCW courses are sold by a third party affiliate, California Online CCW (californiaonlineccw.com). Their own refund and cancellation policy applies to those purchases. Please contact them directly about refunds of online coursework.
Some courses require a range fee (currently $23) paid directly to the range when you arrive. That fee is paid to the range, not to us, and we cannot refund it.
Refunds are processed within 24 to 48 hours of your request and returned to the card you paid with, through Stripe. Your bank or card issuer may take a few extra days to post it.
If we cancel or move a course (for example because of instructor illness, low enrollment, range closure or unsafe conditions), we will tell you as soon as possible. You may choose a full refund or a free rebook.
Safety comes first. If a student is removed from a course for a safety or conduct violation under our Terms and Conditions, no refund is issued.
Group, employer and contract training may have custom terms in a written agreement. If they do, that agreement applies instead of this policy.
